Abstract
The author of the article is an American professor who teaches at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, USA. He is a contemporary Russologist and in an essay he wrote about his research, he stated: “My work focuses on the intersection and interaction of politics, art, and media in Russia from the nineteenth to the twentieth centuries.” In this regard, he has explored and been interested in the strategy and tactics of struggle in democratic movements against state tyranny in Russia, as well as the tactics of state repression in that region. Among his works written in this field is a book called “Writing in Blood: Russian Revolutionary and Cultural Terrorism,” which was published in 2017 by the University of Wisconsin, and its subject is the emergence of modern terrorism in Russia.
