In Persian the Serial Verb Construction (SVC) with the main verb expresses a single event. Structurally, it behaves similar to the asymmetrical serial verb construction. Phasal construction is one of the types of asymmetrical SVC, which has a continuous, ingressive and egressive form. Investigating the continuous construction of Persian language and determining the juncture-nexus relations of this construction in the framework of RRG is the goal of the present study. In order to achieve the goal of the research, complex predicates consisting of auxiliary verb dɑštan (to have) and the main verb that expresses continuous aspect, were placed and based on the criteria of SVC from Aikhenvald’s point of view and in the framework of RRG. Finally, the type of juncture-nexus relationship was explained based on the RRG. The findings show that SVC of continuous aspect in Persian language has two types of juncture-nexus relations, nuclear subordination and nuclear co-subordination.
