Abstract

The book “Persian Grammar” by Dr. OmidTabibzadeh takes a new approach towards Persian grammar. This book is formed based on the theory of autonomous groups in dependency grammar. The theory of dependency grammar that deals with the relationship between the core and its affiliations was first proposed by French LusinTenier. Therefore, every core supervises the relationships only between the affiliations and itself and does not have a remarkable effect on the internal relationships between the affiliations and its affiliations. The book utilizes this theory to investigate the grammar. Its systematicity and examination of all syntactic groups based on the five types of syntactic elements are among its strengths. The present study is an attempt to take the strength of the book into consideration and at the same time to suggest its ambiguities while being taught so that they can be resolved in order to reach better teaching outcomes.
