Van Leeuwen's Critical Discourse Model and Multilevel Analysis of the Story of "Arnavaz and Shahrnaz" in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh

Abstract
One of the classic Iranian works is Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, which requires revision in various aspects of modern literature and linguistics, in the present study, the story of Arnavaz and Shahrnaz from Ferdowsi's Shahnameh has been examined based on Van Leeuwen's critical discourse model and this question has been analyzed: How can the story of Arnavaz and Shahrnaz be evaluated based on the elements of Van Leeuwen's critical model? In response to this hypothesis, it has been analyzed that, based on van Leeuwen's multilevel theoretical model (legitimization, representation of social actors, generalization/particularization, ideological openness, etc.),the story elements of Arnavaz and Shahrnaz have diverse and numerous indicators that are based on a political and social structure.The theoretical foundations of the research are based on the analysis of the critical discourse model with a focus on van Leeuwen, and the research method is descriptive-analytical and the method of collecting library and internet materials
